FREE Radon Continuing Education opportunity intended for Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Lung Cancer Screening Providers, Counselors, Social Workers, Certified Health Educators, and Radon Awareness Advocates and Educators. Hosted by the Southern Kentucky Area Health Education Center (SOKYAHEC).
1) radon’s role in carcinogenesis particularly among those exposed to tobacco smoke;
2) the geology of radon, its basic characteristics, and sources of exposure; and
3) radon risk reduction strategies including testing, mitigation, and risk messaging with patients.
Health professionals will be equipped to incorporate radon risk messaging, including the promotion of home radon testing and mitigation, into their current practice.
